Background & Philosophy
Sled dog lifestyle since 2017
We are Jussi and Inka, a a musher couple from Rovaniemi who are passionate about the sled dog sports. We live in the woods of Northern Rovaniemi with our dogs, outside a small village called Meltaus in an old log house in a deep connection with the nature, as self-sufficiently and sustainably as it is possible for us.
We met each other in 2017 and got our first huskies the same year. For us, mushing is first and foremost a lifestyle and a hobby and the happiness and the wellbeing of our dogs is the most important thing. We participate in long distance sled dog races and also offer small sized husky experiences for customers so that we can share this wonderful life with others as well but also so are able to spend all of our time with our furry family.
Outside of dog life we like to do gardening, build and renovate, go fishing, hunting, hiking and camping, exploring the nature, go on road trips and travel, and enjoy life's little moments. The life here above the Arctic Circle is amazing and each season has different things you can do.
